What we do here

Hydraulic Service & Hose Replacement

Hydraulic Repair is one of the most common reasons equipment goes down and one of the most common reasons it stays down, most owners don't have the pressure gear or the knowledge to diagnose it themselves, and dragging a machine to a hydraulics shop costs days. JSD comes to the jobsite with pressure and flow test gear and the experience to diagnose pumps, valves, cylinders, and hose leaks without guessing. We repack and rebuild on-site where we can; for hose blow-outs we diagnose the leak and get a custom hose fabricated at the closest shop, then return to install. We'll tell you honestly when a component needs to go to a specialty bench shop. Fast turnaround, no flatbed needed.

What we fix on-site

Pressure and flow gear travels on the truck. We diagnose on-site and source custom hoses fast, most fixes happen the same day, no flatbed needed.

Hydraulic hose repair

Old, damaged, or leaking hydraulic lines? We come to your location, remove the failed hoses, have new lines custom-made to OEM spec, and reinstall, restoring the machine to working condition. We don't manufacture hoses ourselves; we partner with a local hose shop for the custom builds.

Man performing hydraulic filter replacement on heavy machinery, emphasizing JSD Equipment's mobile repair service expertise.

Hydraulic system maintenance

Hydraulic systems need regular maintenance: filter replacements, system inspections, and periodic drain-and-flush. Many operators skip the basics, and a neglected hydraulic system turns into expensive failures down the line. Scheduled service keeps it running.

Hydraulic diagnostics

Leaks, valve issues, slow operation, or low pressure? We identify the actual cause on-site with pressure and flow gauges instead of guessing parts. Goal is a clear cause and an honest repair estimate before any work starts.

Close-up of hydraulic brake components, showcasing disassembled parts and worn parts, relevant to JSD Equipment's hydraulic repair services.

Hydraulic rebuilds

Cylinders, control valves, and pumps that have served you well are often worth rebuilding instead of replacing. We assess the component, source seals and parts to OEM spec, and reinstall. We'll tell you honestly when a replacement is the better call.

Tractor hydraulic troubleshooting

If your tractor hydraulics are doing one of these, here's the likely cause

Common tractor hydraulic problems and what they usually mean. Use this as a self-diagnostic before you call. None of these are guaranteed, but they narrow the field and help us bring the right parts on the truck. If your tractor hydraulics are not working at all, skip the troubleshooting and call dispatch directly. Running a Deere? See our guide to common John Deere hydraulic issues.

Likely cause

3-point hitch dropping or won't lift

Almost always a hydraulic issue, internal leak in the rockshaft, weak hydraulic pump, or a control-valve fault. Rockshaft seals are repackable on-site for most ag tractors. Pump and valve faults need pressure-testing to confirm the actual cause before quoting the repair.

For the rest of the diagnostic flow, including pressure-test gear we run on-site, see the scope section above or call dispatch.

Common reasons people call

What you might be calling about

Concrete failure scenarios we see week-in, week-out. If your equipment looks like one of these, we've fixed it before, and we'll give you a likely diagnosis on the phone before we leave the shop.

  1. 01

    Hose blow-out at the jobsite

We come to site, diagnose what's leaking and get a new hydraulic line custom-fabricated by the closest hose shop, then return and install to get you up and running quickly.

  2. 02

    Cylinder leaking around the rod

Worn rod seal or scored rod. We can repack the gland on-site for most loader, 3-point, and excavator cylinders. If the rod is damaged we'll pull it and bench-rebuild.

  3. 03

Loader, hoe, or attachment slow or weak

Could be a worn pump, a leaking solenoid, a clogged filter, or a relief valve set wrong. Pressure and flow gauges on the truck so we measure the cause instead of guessing parts.

  4. 04

3-point hitch dropping or won't lift the load

Internal leak in the rockshaft, weak hydraulic pump, or a control-valve issue. We pressure-test on-site and identify the actual culprit before quoting the rebuild.

  5. 05

Pump whine, foam in the reservoir, fluid heating up

Cavitation, contamination, or aerated fluid. Often a sign of imminent pump failure. We diagnose the cause and clean the system before the pump goes.

  6. 06

    Fitting or quick-coupler leak

Common over time, especially on equipment that runs daily. We diagnose the leak on-site and source the correct fittings or a custom hose from the closest hose shop to finish the repair.

Hydraulic Repair FAQ

Common questions

More questions? Call 778-823-9813, the same person answering will be the one doing the work.

Do you fabricate hoses on-site?

No, we don't fabricate hoses or stock fittings on-site. We come out, diagnose the leak, and get a custom-fabricated hose made or the correct fittings sourced at the closest hose shop, then return to install and pressure-test the repair so you're back up and running as soon as possible.

Can you rebuild a hydraulic cylinder in the field?

Most seal repacks and gland services we do on-site. If the rod or barrel is damaged, or it's a specialty cylinder, we'll send it to a bench shop and put it back in once it's done.

How do you diagnose a slow or weak hydraulic system?

Pressure and flow gauges on the truck. We test the pump output and the relief valves directly so we're not guessing. Most weak-cylinder calls turn out to be a worn pump or a leaking solenoid, and we can prove it on-site before recommending a fix.

Are pressure-vessel and lifting cylinders in scope?

Regulated lifting components and certified pressure work are outside our insurance and shop license. We'll point you to the right specialty shop for those.
