Mobile repair for mini and full-size excavators on construction sites, farms, acreages, and yards across Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Mission, Agassiz, and Hope. No float required.
Excavator repair is one of the calls where hauling costs more than the fix. A stopped excavator is usually holding up the rest of the site, and moving it to a dealer means a float, a road permit on the bigger machines, and a wait for a shop slot. JSD comes to the machine instead. We service mini excavators, compact machines, and full-size iron across the Fraser Valley: John Deere, Kubota KX and U-Series, Bobcat, CAT, Case, Takeuchi, Volvo, and JCB. The truck carries hydraulic pressure and flow gear, OEM-grade scan tools, hand and power tools, and the common parts and filtration most calls need. Most excavator problems we see come back to hydraulics, the undercarriage, or fuel and filtration that got past its interval. We check the simple stuff first, confirm the cause before replacing parts, and give you an honest estimate before any work starts.

Compact and full-size excavators across most brands. Hydraulics, swing and travel, undercarriage, diesel, and electrical faults, diagnosed on-site with pressure and flow gear rather than guessed at.
Mini excavators do the work that used to need a crew with shovels, which means they run hard on landscaping jobs, acreages, utility work, and tight residential sites. They fail differently than full-size machines: rubber tracks wear and tear on gravel, auxiliary hydraulics for thumbs and breakers give trouble, and the small diesels are sensitive to fuel that has sat. JSD provides mobile mini excavator repair and compact machine service for Kubota KX and U-Series, John Deere G-Series, Bobcat E-Series, and Takeuchi machines on jobs across Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Mission, Agassiz, Hope, and the Fraser Valley. The advantage on a compact machine is that it is small enough to work on where it sits, so there is rarely a good reason to trailer it anywhere.
Concrete failure scenarios we see week-in, week-out. If your equipment looks like one of these, we've fixed it before, and we'll give you a likely diagnosis on the phone before we leave the shop.
The most common excavator complaint we get. Check whether it drifts with the engine off before anyone orders parts. Engine-off drift points at the cylinder seals or the holding valve; drift only under load points at the control valve. We pressure-test to confirm which before quoting.
Often the swing motor relief or the brake, not the motor itself. Worth checking the swing gearbox oil level and condition first, because a low or milky gearbox is both a cheaper answer and a warning about the seal.
We don't fabricate hoses or stock fittings on-site, but we come out, diagnose which line let go, and get a custom-fabricated hose made or the correct fittings sourced at the closest hose shop, then return to install and get you digging again. Worth checking the rest of the lines while we are there, since hoses that were routed together usually chafe together.
Fuel quality and filters cause more of these than owners expect, especially on a machine that sat through a wet Fraser Valley winter. Water in the fuel, a plugged filter, or a weak battery circuit look like bigger engine problems. We check those before we go looking for injectors.
Short cycles and long idling are the usual cause. A machine that idles all day and never gets loaded will not complete a regen. We pull the codes with the engine software, confirm whether it is a genuine fault or an interrupted regen, and explain what the operator can change so it stops happening.
Undercarriage is the biggest running cost on an excavator and the one that gets ignored until it gets expensive. Missed greasing and running tracks over-tightened wears the whole set early. We measure the wear, tell you what is left in it, and quote component repair against replacement honestly.

Specialized in mobile John Deere equipment repair. Need hydraulic repair on-site, skid steer repair, or a preventative maintenance package? We cover those too.
Contractors and acreage owners who had a machine stopped mid-job, and got it digging again without loading it onto a trailer.
Mini through full-size, diagnosed where the machine sits. No float, no road permit, no shop slot to wait for.
Drifting boom, slow swing, won't start, fault codes? Give us the brand, model, and hours, and tell us where the machine is parked. Access changes the job as much as the fault does.
Free phone diagnosis
Truck dispatches with scan tools, hydraulic pressure and flow gear, and common parts. We confirm the cause before anything gets replaced.
Mini to full-size
We cycle boom, stick, bucket, swing, and travel under load and check the repair holds pressure. Honest estimate before any work; itemized invoice after.
Workmanship guaranteed
Our goal is to fix it the first time, so the truck arrives with the tools and common parts and we don't have to drive back.
On an excavator, access is usually the job
Excavator repairs are rarely mysterious. They are buried. Swing motors sit under the house, slew ring bolts need the upper structure supported, and a final drive means pulling the track before anyone touches the failed part. That is why we ask where the machine is parked before we quote time. A machine sitting level in a yard with room for the truck is a different job from the same repair on a slope, in mud, or down in a trench. Tell us the location and we will tell you honestly whether it is a field repair or a bench job.
We come to your job site, farm, or shop. If you're east of the Lower Mainland and have equipment that needs work, we can get to you.

Yes. Mini and compact excavators are a large share of the excavator calls we take. Kubota KX and U-Series, John Deere G-Series compacts, Bobcat E-Series, and Takeuchi. Same mobile service, on-site at your job or yard.
Most of it happens on site. Hose replacement, cylinder repacks where the rod and barrel are good, hydraulic diagnosis, electrical faults, filtration, and most diesel work are field repairs. A failed pump, a slew ring, or a final drive rebuild usually needs a bench, and we will tell you that before we start rather than after.
John Deere is the specialty and the truck carries JD Service Advisor. We also service Kubota, Bobcat, CAT, Case, Takeuchi, Volvo, JCB, and Yanmar excavators, mini through full-size.
$160 flat callout, $135/hr with a 3-hour minimum once on-site ($405 minimum). Free phone diagnosis before we leave the shop. Fuel surcharge varies by zone, free in Chilliwack, $50 to Agassiz/Kent, $90 to Abbotsford, Mission, and Hope.
Usually cylinder seals or the holding valve on that circuit, and the two are easy to tell apart on site. If it drifts with the engine off, the leak is past the cylinder or the holding valve. If it only drifts under engine load, look at the control valve spool. We measure it rather than guess, because replacing a cylinder that was not the problem is an expensive way to find out.
Yes. We diagnose travel motor and final drive faults on site, pressure-test the circuit, and check for metal in the oil before anything comes apart. Whether it is a seal and oil change or a full rebuild depends on what the oil tells us, and we will show you what we found.
