Our easy-to-understand checklists are sent after every preventive maintenance, inspection jobs. Each checklist includes relevant information that indicates what needs immediate attention, what can wait, and what requires monitoring. We also include pictures to illustrate any issues. Our checklists are designed based on experience to focus on specific trouble areas that need extra care and attention during inspections. You can rest easy knowing your equipment is in good hands.
SAFETY COMPLIANCE
Our technicians are Red Seal endorsed and hold Journeyman tickets, which represent the highest qualification for performing inspections on safety-related components in mobile equipment. We ensure that everything is documented clearly and is easy for you to understand, helping to maintain complete compliance with Occupational Health And Safety (OHS) standards in conjunction with your daily operator checks, and required yearly NDT engineering testing done (applicable to cranes, and elevated work platforms).
WHY DO INSPECTIONS?
The biggest issue with equipment is that when it is down, it’s not generating income or performing its intended function, which can be quite frustrating. Instead of succumbing to frustration, we focus on identifying potential issues before they lead to a breakdown. For example, during a service and inspection of your mowing equipment, we discovered a faulty u-joint in the driveline connecting the engine to the transmission. We provided an estimate for the repair and scheduled a return visit once the parts arrived. That small amount of play in the u-joint, caused by insufficient greasing, could have worsened over time, leading to a complete break. This would not only have required a larger repair but also resulted in longer downtime for the machine. By catching the issue early, we saved the client money on both downtime and unnecessary repairs. Additionally, we recommended that the client and operator ensure the u-joint is greased every 50 hours, as part of their pre-inspection routine.
PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE
Predictive maintenance is the practice of replacing components at specific intervals. This approach is crucial in today's complex equipment because certain parts have manufacturer-specific life cycles. Neglecting to replace components at their designated intervals can lead to serious problems. For example, an engine damper—if not replaced according to the manufacturer's recommended schedule—can result in catastrophic engine damage.
